out what to expect when you sign up for an event.
There are three components of every EVPro+ Training with Certification Event
Component 1: Pre-requisite Virtual Training
Participants will be provided access to your Electrified Transportation Pro+ Virtual Training Dashboard during your event. Virtual content for an event will be made available 60 days prior to the hands-on component of your event’s start date. On-Demand Training and Adaptive Learning are completed concurrently, and all content must be finished prior to the first day of the hands-on event
On-Demand EVPro+ Training
On-Demand Learning includes:
Video Training – live recorded content delivered in 1-hour modules (with searchable closed captioning feature).
Student Resources – dashboard to manage your event content, supplemental videos and other content, searchable flipbook of instructor presentation, and graded module assessments.
Adaptive Learning
Adaptive learning is a technique for providing personalized learning, which aims to provide efficient, effective, and customized learning paths to engage each student.
Adaptive learning systems use a data-driven approach to adjust the path and pace of learning, enabling the delivery of personalized learning at scale.
Through an app-based delivery platform provided by Today’s Class Technician, the user is presented with engaging exercises, step-by-step video demonstrations, and dynamic animations making this a fully interactive experience. Adaptive Learning is taken concurrently with on-demand training to help retain advanced vehicle technology concepts and prepare participants for a successful hands-on experience while providing additional support for those completing the certification exams.
Component 2: Hands-On Training and Certification Event
The duration and content of the live instruction at your registered event is dependent upon the level selected for training and optional certification exams.
Most of the time spent during the event will be dedicated hands-on instruction supported by lecture and Q&A sessions, with the last half of the final day reserved for proctored written and practical exams.
Live Hands-On and Lecture Instruction
Duration: Varies by level (see event overview for details)
Prerequisite: All levels require successful completion of the Virtual Training Content, PLUS:
- Level 1: No additional pre-requisite
- Level 2, 3, and 4: Successful completion of the Level 1 focused on HV Safety Systems
EVPro+ Certified Instructors support all hosted events.
Hosting Site: Refer to training events schedule for dates, venues, and level(s) offered.
Proctored Written and Practical Exams
The class will be divided into two groups, where they will take turns with the written and practical exams. Once finished, the groups will switch assignments and complete the remaining exam.
Proctored Written exams are internet-based, and will be taken under the supervision of a physical proctor in the classroom. Participants will log into the SAE ITC – Probitas Authentication platform (with credentials provided at the time of the exam) and complete the written exam. A passing score of 80% is required in order to pass the written exam.
Proctored Practical exams are facilitated by the instructor with each participant individually. Participants will be required to answer questions and identify components in accordance with the hands-on and lecture training. A passing score of 80% is required in order to pass the practical exam.
The passing scores for each exam are independent of one another, and cannot be combined to receive an average passing score. A passing score of 80% on each of the exams is required for earning the Certification.
Participants may retake the written and practical exams, but not during the same event. Retakes must be coordinated through the training provider.
Component 3: Certification Exams
(this component is optional and available for those desiring a 5-year authenticated global certification)
Exams are administered during the last ½ day of your live event.
Proctored Written exams: This is an online timed exam. Use your login to access the EVPro+ event dashboard which has an area with your Certification Exam link. A minimum passing score of 80% is required.
Proctored Practical exams are facilitated by the event instructor. Participants will receive an exam booklet with instructions on activities to be completed at each “testing Station” where your responses are recorded. All questions are in accordance with the content delivered during the virtual and hands-on training components. A minimum passing score of 80% is required.
The passing scores for each exam are independent of one another and cannot be combined to receive an average passing score. A minimum passing score of 80% on each of the exams (practical and written) is required for earning the 5-year Certification at that specific event level.
Participants are offered one complimentary retake of the written and/or practical exams, however these are not administered during your current event. Retakes must be scheduled within 1 year of original exam date by contacting EVPro+ at training@evproplus.com
