There are three components of every EVPro+ Training with Certification Event
Authenticated Standards Based Electrified Transportation Training and Certification Program
The objective of the Electrified Transportation Pro+ Program (EVPro+) is to ensure all professionals across the various transportation industries are trained in Electrified Vehicle Systems and Technologies consistently to authenticated EV standards. After the training components have concluded, participants are prepared to complete the practical and written exams to earn their 5-year Certification for one or more of the 4-Levels offered in this comprehensive program.
Elevating the Field
Most transportation service professionals (often in the automotive sector) performing or teaching diagnostics and service of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) have potentially completed only rudimentary training in Vehicle Architectures and the High Voltage (HV) electrical power fundamentals that dictate the operation and diagnostics of these systems. In addition, High Voltage (HV) safety training in the areas of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and High Voltage Vehicle Safety Systems may be incomplete.
Beyond the safety aspect of Electrified Vehicle Systems, service and education professionals may possess a broad variation of knowledge in OEM-specific vehicle or technology-based systems, failure modes, diagnostics, and repair strategies.
If an individual has received training from an OEM or Aftermarket provider, then the breadth, depth, and accuracy of the information contained in the training can vary significantly.
The Electrified Transportation Pro+ Program aims to elevate and standardize the training and certification of all service professionals an educators spanning all transportation-related organizations.

Filling The Gaps
The three levels of training and certification in this program are available to individual participants, as well as a Train-the-Trainer (TTT) experience for transportation technology instructors who will incorporate curriculum into their classrooms. This ensures that all of the gaps in training and certification of all transportation professionals are filled with standardized skills.
The TTT materials provided by the Pro+ program partners are suitable for standardized programs such as those within colleges or trade schools, repair associations and franchises, and organizational training programs for internal purposes.
Training events will be available to the general public, as well as events hosted for/by private groups.
What To Expect
There are two general steps in attending an Electrified
Transportation Pro+ event:
Pre-Event Virtual Training comprised of:
- On-Demand Electrified Transportation Training
- Adaptive Learning
Hands-On Training and Certification Event including:
- 2.5 - 4.5 days of hands-on instruction (length depends on level)
- Half-day of written and practical exams to earn Certification
